This interactive workshop is will provide parents and caregivers with a basic clinical overview selective mutism. The foundational components of supporting Brave Talking at home and in the community will be explored. Tips for collaborating effectively with schools will also be provided.
Who Should Attend?
Parents and caregivers.
As a result of attending, parents and caregivers will better understand:
★ Brave Talking and the importance of generalizing verbal behavior across a wide range of people, places, and activities
★ The concept of building Brave Voice muscles and climbing the communication ladder
★ Specific strategies for educating friends and family members about your child’s SM
